Bryce Harper Again Hears Boos In Philadelphia

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue May 14, 2019 12:02 pm

Bryce Harper was the only starting position player not to record a hit for the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.

When he struck out for the third time in the fifth inning, Harper heard some boos from the home fans at Citizens Bank Park.

Harper made a difference in the field, however, with a potential game-saving play.

With the bases loaded, two outs and the game tied at 4 in the top of the seventh inning, Milwaukee Brewers infielder Mike Moustakas ripped a line drive to right field. Harper raced toward the line and made a sprawling catch to end the inning, saving at least a few runs in the process.

\"It\'s both sides of the ball,\" Harper said. \"You\'ve got to stay focused on both sides of the ball, no matter your outcomes at the plate or anything like that. My pitchers need me, and I need to be playing to the best of my ability out there.\"
