It appears unlikely that the Kansas City Royals will trade Whit Merrifield at this year\'s deadline.
Dayton Moore called Merrifield \"one of the best players in all of baseball right now\" and said \"the ask would be just crazy\" if teams called the Royals about the utilityman.
Merrifield, 30, is playing under a team-friendly contract.
