Don Mattingly took a significant pay cut to remain with the Miami Marlins.
He signed a two-year extension with the Marlins last week.
According to sources, Mattingly will earn $2 million annually, a considerable downgrade from the $2.8 million he\'s made this season.
The Marlins are 54-101, a record better than only two clubs.
