The Minnesota Twins are expected to pick up their $12 million contract option for Nelson Cruz in the next few days, sources have confirmed.
Cruz, 39, hit 41 home runs and was seen as a positive influence on the clubhouse this season.
The Twins won the American League Central but were swept by the New York Yankees in the ALDS.
