MLB Hopes To Conclude Red Sox Investigation Before Spring Training

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Feb 7, 2020 1:56 pm

Major League Baseball hopes to wrap up its investigation into the Boston Red Sox\'s alleged high-tech sign-stealing ahead of next week.

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report next week.

Rob Manfred says any punishment will not include Red Sox players.

Boston no longer employs the general manager (Dave Dombrowski) or manager (Alex Cora) the club had during the 2018 season, when it was alleged to have improperly used the replay room to steal signs during games.

I wonder if it was only a handful of players who cheated that Manfred would take disciplinary action on? Like say three or four players. But since it's several players who cheated or maybe another reason he alone has in his mind that he won't take action against players' participation in the cheating scandal.
