The San Diego Padres have no plans to move Fernando Tatis, Jr. from shortstop.

Jayce Tingler says he doesn\'t plan to give Tatis even a few spring training reps in center field. The idea was born when the Padres had talks with the Cleveland Indians about acquiring Francisco Lindor during the offseason.

\"We have considered a couple center fielders; we never once discussed, honestly, Tatis being out there,\" the first-year manager said.
