The Seattle Mariners won\'t have Mitch Haniger at the start of the season as he recovers from his second surgery in three weeks.
The second surgery was on Haniger\'s back, according to a source.
Jerry Dipoto said in Februrary that Haniger likely needed an initial surgery on a core muscle injury and he wasn\'t expected to be ready for Opening Day -- but that was before he had the second procedure.
