Athletics Ask Coronavirus Patient To Throw First Pitch On Opening Day

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Mar 18, 2020 12:11 pm

The Oakland Athletics have reached out to a fan who has said he has tested positive for coronavirus about throwing out the first pitch on Opening Day.

A 39-year-old fan named Justin tweeted a picture Monday of himself wearing an A\'s hat while in a hospital bed.

Club president Dave Kaval responded on social media early Tuesday morning, saying he \"would be honored to have [Justin] throw out the first pitch opening day.\"

The post came to the attention of Kaval and the A\'s after they had already announced Monday that they were donating $100,000 to the Alameda County Community Food Bank to help during the coronavirus pandemic.

What kind of sick twisted joke is this?

Half the country will soon have COVID-19, and it will largely be through ignorance.

It will result in many people dying sooner than they otherwise would have also. I expect it to reduce the life expectancy statistics.

Laud he who does not get the coronavirus.
