The Houston Astros offered a contract to Carlos Correa ahead of the non-tender deadline.
Correa, 26, hit .264 during the regular season, then batted .362 with six home runs and 17 RBIs in 13 playoff games.
Houston drafted the infielder with the first overall pick in 2012.
