Justin Verlander threw a pitch on Wednesday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery at the end of September.
The Houston Astros\' right-hander has been working out at Cressey Sports Performance, a few miles from the Astros\' Spring Training complex in Florida.
Verlander, who won the 2019 American League Cy Young Award, isn\'t expected to pitch this season.
