MLB Moves All-Star Game, Draft From Georgia In Response To New Law

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Apr 2, 2021 7:06 pm

Major League Baseball has decided to pull the 2021 All-Star Game and amateur draft from the state of Georgia in response to legislation in the state to suppress voting.

“Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box,” said Rob Manfred in a statement.

Republicans passed and signed the 98-page voting law last week following the first Democratic victories in presidential and Senate elections in Georgia in a generation.

Even MLB is getting political now. What a shame what has happened to sports in such a short time frame.

It used to be an escape from the real world for people. Now people are trying to force politics into every facet of life. There's no stress relief for anyone anymore.

**** MLB.

It's not an anti-voting law. It means you have to have an ID to vote. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking to see an ID to cast a vote. Unless, of course, you want the ability to have ineligible people vote so you can stuff ballot boxes.

It’s not baseballs problem that a Rasmussen poll says a bunch of people believe hilariously dumb lies.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

democrat voters also took part in the poll. they definitely aren't taking trump's word for it, but there are believers.

And? They’re included in “a bunch of people” that believe the hilariously dumb lies.

I don't believe they are lies and neither do 80%+ of the 48% of the country that voted conservative. I could go into detail but I don't want to get banned. it risky being an outspoken conservative these days.

Open your eyes and maybe read more about the new bill, it goes a lot further then just needing ID to vote... Republicans are being sketchy as f***, it gives the Republican-controlled state government new power to assert control over the conduct of elections in Democratic counties. This all started because the Republican party can't believe they're losing popularity in what was historically a red state, you can thank the law-breaking previous president for that.

Great! Pretending the lies are true because a bunch of people believe them doesn’t do anyone any good.

no. video evidence, 1000+ affidavits, a court case win in PA to overturn the results (later vetoed by you guessed it a democrat appointed judge), 100 million mail in ballots floating through the system (what was the previous high ? 10 million ?). tulsi gabbard has serious questions not only about the 3rd party handling of those ballots (specifically the undeliverables) but also the missing paper trail (machines count the ballots and that record REPLACES them).

Repeating the lies and posting some bizarre wishcasting nonsense doesn’t make them true either. We are well beyond political differences over like tax rates or whatever. You have been lied to, and chose to believe those lies because you just can’t believe your golden god lost an election. That isn’t baseballs problem.

I'm quite familiar with the law tyvm. The state legislature is just asserting their sole Constitutional responsibility to decide the voting procedures for their state.

Democrats are sketchy AF on a daily basis, so I realize this both hurts their feelings as well as their ability to cheat.

Oh muffin, it is. It’s why Republicans in charge of the elections and the courts examining the evidence all said it’s ****, and it’s why Sidney Powell told the court when she was sued by Dominion for defamation that no reasonable person would have believed her. No amount of motivated reasoning is going to change those facts.

7 candidates for president in 2016 are also believers. dismissing it all as lies is deflection.

On this we agree. The statistical anomalies speak for themselves.

Rasmussen Reports is a conservative-leaning polling group. Scott Rasmussen (founder) had a conservative constituency.

Rasmussen's practice of adjusting results by party identification in arguing that the pollster, which has been touted by former President Trump and often has shown him with higher approval ratings than in other polls, favors the GOP.

Out of 12 prolific polsters, Rasmussen reports finished 12th in accuracy, and 10th in bias.
