Padres Put Blake Snell On IL, Sign Vince Velasquez

The San Diego Padres have placed Blake Snell on the injured list with a left adductor groin strain.
San Diego also signed Vince Velasquez to a Minor League contract and recalled Shaun Anderson from Triple-A El Paso.
Snell, 28, injured his groin in the first inning of Sunday\'s 8-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
