The Los Angeles Angels fired Joe Maddon last week in the midst of a 14-game losing streak, citing the need for a new voice in the clubhouse.

ESPN\'s Tim Kurkjian reported during Sunday Night Baseball that Maddon cut his hair into a mohawk to \"awaken the team\" with the hairstyle.

However, the players never saw the mohawk because he was fired that day.

As a former athlete, I can tell you that a new voice means absolutely nothing. If anything, it would only bring sadness. If you like your coach, you want to win for yourself, the team, and him. A new coach means nothing to anyone.

These billionaire sports team firings start with ego and haven't matured from there. They're narcissistic rage firings disguised as though they are needed.
