Tigers Send Struggling Spencer Torkelson Back To Triple-A

The Detroit Tigers have optioned Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo.
A top prospect entering the 2022 season, Torkelson made the Tigers\' Opening Day roster. He\'s struggled since, hitting just .197/.282/.295 in 83 games.
He\'s struck out in 25.5 percent of his plate appearances.
Torkelson was the No. 1 overall pick in 2020.
