Abreu says he intends to play in 2023 but that talks with the Chicago White Sox about a new contract haven\'t yet taken place.
The White Sox extended a $17.8 million qualifying offer to Abreu after the 2019 season. He eventually accepted it. A week later, the two sides agreed to a three-year, $50 million deal.
