Red Sox Sign Catching Instructor Jason Varitek To Extension

The Boston Red Sox have agreed to a three-year contract extension with catching instructor/game-planning coordinator Jason Varitek.
The Red Sox are expected to retain the entire coaching staff for the 2023 season.
Varitek, a 15-year Major League veteran, retired after the 2011 season but he has remained with the organization in various non-playing capacities.
