The Oakland Athletics have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Oakland had been eliminated from the American League West race with a 12-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Aug. 20.

The A\'s are on pace for 115 losses this season -- it would be tied for the fourth-most losses in season ever endured by an MLB team.
