The Chicago White Sox have promoted Chris Getz to general manager.
The club parted ways with Ken Williams and Rick Hahn last week. Getz has been named senior vice president and general manager, the same two titles held by Hahn before he was fired.
Getz, 39, has for the past seven years guided the White Sox\'s minor-league operations and player-development system. He\'s been the assistant GM for the past three years.
