Red Sox Fire Chaim Bloom After Four Seasons

The Boston Red Sox have fired chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom as they near the end of his fourth up-and-down season.
The Red Sox finished last in the American League East twice under Bloom and will almost certainly miss the playoffs in 2023.
Bloom, 40, joined the Red Sox following their firing of general manager Dave Dombrowski in Sept. 2019.
