Max Scherzer has recently increased his throwing program in an effort to strengthen his arm and get back on a mound.
When Scherzer landed on the injured list with a teres major strain, it seemed likely that the pitcher was done for the season.
However, Bruce Bochy says the Texas Rangers aren\'t ruling Scherzer out for the postseason. In a radio appearance the manager said the pitcher seems \"optimistic\" about returning.
