The New York Mets have at least a chance of signing manager Craig Counsell away from the Milwaukee Brewers, according to a report.
Counsell deferred extension talks with the Brewers in the spring, although some still believe he\'ll eventually re-sign with the club if they offer him a fair deal.
\"If he was going to stay, they\'d already have signed him,\" one NL executive said.
