Ian Kennedy is retiring from baseball.
While Kennedy indicated he had made the decision that this would be his final season going into 2023, he acknowledged \"there\'s no better way to go out\" than as a member of a Texas Rangers team that clinched the franchise\'s first title.
Kennedy logged 16 1/3 innings for the Rangers this season, posting a 7.16 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
The right-hander was a first-round pick of the New York Yankees in 2006.
