The Boston Red Sox and Brayan Bello are making progress toward a long-term extension, according to a report.
Bello, 24, started 28 games in his first full Major League season. He had a 4.24 ERA and 2.93 strikeout-to-walk ratio for the Red Sox.
The pitcher is not slated to qualify for arbitration for another two seasons.
