Kyle Hendricks returned to the rotation for the Chicago Cubs and excelled on Wednesday afternoon.

Hendricks pitched into the sixth inning, allowing one run and two hits as the Cubs defeated the San Francisco Giants 6-5. He had been moved to the bullpen and the club is hoping he\'ll become a fixture of the rotation once again.

\"Honestly, I tried to keep it so simple,\" Hendricks said. \"It maybe was like a dream in a way, but I truly tried to lock in on process. I was just so far from who I was as a pitcher that I really had to commit to my process, commit to getting better every day, almost resetting and restarting a career.\"
