The Chicago White Sox recently held talks with Garrett Crochet on a contract extension, according to a report.
These negotiations were \"brief\" and the club has \"no optimism towards reaching an agreement,\" so the White Sox are now planning to trade Crochet at the deadline.
Crotchet is under club control through the 2026 season.
The left-hander has a 3.02 ERA and 141 strikeouts over 101.1 innings this season.
