Max Scherzer is no stranger to trade deadline deals.
The pitcher has been dealt two of the past three summers, but another move is unlikely to happen this month.
During an appearance on Foul Territory, Scherzer was asked if he would be open to waiving his no-trade clause if the Texas Rangers fall out of the playoff race.
\"Yeah, I\'m not gonna do that ... we\'re gonna play better baseball. It\'s gonna be a moot point to even talk about...we\'re gonna win here,\" he said.
Scherzer has been dealt from the Washington Nationals to Los Angeles Dodgers, then from the New York Mets to the Rangers in recent Julys.
