Marlins OF Breaks Ankle After Kicking Door

Miami Marlins outfielder Dane Myers revealed he has a fractured ankle, one day after he angrily kicked a door in a 10-6 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
Myers was ejected in the eighth inning on Saturday after disputing home plate umpire Derek Thomas\' ruling that he failed to check his swing on a full-count pitch.
The ejection came after Myers\' heated exchange with Thomas. Myers said he kicked a door in the visitors\' clubhouse.
\"I took a swipe at the door with my foot, and I didn\'t think I kicked it that hard, but I fractured my foot,\" Myers said, adding that there was no displacement, meaning the 28-year-old should not need surgery.
