The Tampa Bay Rays have been extensively scouting the New York Yankees system, according to a report.
The news is an indication that the two clubs could be talking to one another about a deadline deal.
Tampa Bay has a number of potential trade candidates that could help New York, including right-hander Zach Eflin, outfielder Randy Arozarena, and third baseman Isaac Paredes.
