Padres Sign Elias Diaz To Minor League Deal

The San Diego Padres have signed Elias Diaz, the MVP of the 2023 All-Star Game, to a Minor League contract.
Diaz, 33, was released by the Colorado Rockies on Aug. 16.
The catcher hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning of last season\'s All-Star Game to give the National League a 3-2 victory over the American League.
Diaz hit .270 with five home runs and 36 RBIs in 84 games with the Rockies this season.
