Sean Manaea Expected To Opt Out Of Deal With Mets

Sean Manaea will hit the free agent market this winter, according to a report.
Manaea will opt out of the second year of his contract with the New York Mets, which would play him $13.5 million, \"barring unforeseen circumstances.\"
The left-hander has signed two-year deals with opt-out provisions in each of the past two offseasons.
\"I like to think it\'s fun because it\'s a new adventure,\" Manaea said. \"I mean, it\'s a little nerve-wracking when you\'re not with a team most of the offseason, but it\'s all part of the adventure.\"
