Matt Quatraro is expected to return to the Kansas City Royals before Wednesday\'s game against the Cleveland Guardians.
The Royals announced on Monday that Quatraro was away from the club to attend a personal matter. He attended the memorial service after the passing of his mother Dorann Stagnitta at age 84.
While Quatraro was away, bench coach Paul Hoover served as the club\'s manager.
