The San Francisco Giants have agreed to a six-year, $151 million extension with Matt Chapman, preventing the third baseman from opting out of his current deal to reach free agency.
The deal, which starts in 2025 and replaces the last two years of a three-year, $54 million contract he signed earlier this year, includes a full no-trade clause, according to sources.
The contract will run through 2030, when Chapman will be 37.
