Freddie Freeman Exits Game 2 As Ankle Flares Up

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Oct 7, 2024 12:28 pm

Freddie Freeman tried to play through a right ankle sprain in Game 2 of the NLDS, but the Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman was ultimately forced to leave the contest against the San Diego Padres.

The injury would normally necessitate a four- to six-week stint on the injured list.

Dave Roberts said Freeman is day to day, with his availability for Game 3 on Tuesday night at Petco Park to be determined.

After spraining his ankle in the Dodgers\' Sept. 26 game against the Padres that clinched the National League West, Freeman sat out the final three games of the regular season but returned to game action in a little more than a week.
