A\'s Plans For Las Vegas Ballpark Will Be Addressed Thursday
A number of important elements of the Athletics\' plans to build a new ballpark for the 2028 season will be addressed when the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board meets on Thursday.
The cost of the stadium has increased from $1.5 billion to $1.75 billion.
A\'s executive Sandy Dean says the extra money is necessary \"is due to combination of adding a variety of features to the ballpark along with general increases in construction costs.\"
The cost breakdown will see up to $380 million covered by Clark County and the state of Nevada, $300 million covered by a U.S. Bank/Goldman Sachs loan, and the rest covered by the Fisher family and the Athletics.
