Ryan Pressly Considering Trade From Astros To Cubs

Ryan Pessly has not yet approved or rejected a potential trade from the Houston Astros to the Chicago Cubs. The Detroit Tigers are also involved in trade talks, but Pressly is unlikely to accept a deal there. The Astros are “doing whatever they can” to trade Pressly, according to a source.
Houston’s primary return in the Pressly trade would be salary relief and some flexibility for other acquisitions. Pressly is guaranteed $14 million this season.
Pressly struggled in his setup role behind Josh Hader and would prefer to close games. The Cubs could provide him that opportunity.
