Trevor Bauer has signed with the Yokohama Bay Stars. Bauer spent the 2023 season with the Bay Stars where he had a 2.59 ERA in 24 starts.
Bauer spent last season pitching for Diablos Rojos del Mexico in the Mexican League where he posted a 2.48 ERA.
Bauer last pitched in the MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers in June 2021. After making 17 starts with Los Angeles, Bauer was placed on paid administrative leave by MLB in July 2021 after a San Diego woman accused him of sexual assault during an encounter that began as consensual and, she said, turned violent. The Washington Post reported similar allegations from two other women that summer. Bauer denied any wrongdoing.
Bauer was suspended in April 2022 for two full seasons though that was later to reduced to 194 games.
