Cubs Acquire Ryan Brasier From Dodgers

The Dodgers have agreed to trade veteran reliever Ryan Brasier to the Chicago Cubs. Brasier, 37, had been designated for assignment on Thursday when the Dodgers made official their signing of Kirby Yates.
Brasier had signed a two-year, $9 million deal just 12 months earlier. Despite missing several months with a calf strain, Brasier finished with a 3.54 ERA in 29 appearances and was a presence in the Dodgers’ postseason bullpen during their run to the World Series.
Brasier was set to earn $4.5 million plus incentives in 2025, so the Dodgers ge salary relief with the trade.
