Paul Skenes Experimenting With Two New Pitches

Paul Skenes will enter 2025 experimenting with several new pitches, adding a cutter and a running two-seam fastball to an arsenal that already includes a four-seamer that tops out north of 100 mph and a \"splinker\" that was one of the best put-away pitches in the majors last season.
\"Just trying to create more swing decisions,\" Skenes said.
Skenes was the 2024 NL Rookie of the Year posting a 1.96 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 170 strikeouts and an 11-3 record in 23 starts.
