This will not change. This is literally the business model for franchises like the A's, and the other MLB owners support it because they would also want to have the opportunity to run their franchise like that if they so choose. This was all clearly exemplified with the A's recent move to Vegas, as arguably the primary reason for the A's move is because MLB changed their luxury tax distribution policy to make it so that franchises in large media markets would no longer be eligible for luxury tax payments from other big spending franchises (regardless of their own spending) - which effectively meant the A's would no longer get luxury tax $ for years to come if they stayed in the Bay Area. So the A's moved from one of the largest media markets (with a very wealthy local population) to one of the smallest media markets in the country, and the other MLB owners supported it, even if it meant that the A's would be a minor league team for a few years. This allows the A's to make nice $ while they continue to ignore the baseball side of their business, and the other owners get the option to do similarly in the future if they want (while continuing to rack up wins along the way against the A's). This is how the MLB operates.

LMFAO! Scott Boras only cares about #1... himself. Of COURSE he's critical of teams that spend less. That's less potential money to go to his free agents and his own pocket. Guys like this live and breathe money. He can never have too much, even if his family is set for 10 generations in wealth.
