Dave Roberts, Dodgers Expected To Sign MLB\'s Richest Manager Contract

Dave Roberts and the Los Angeles Dodgers are close to agreement on a long-term extension. Roberts and the Dodgers have held serious discussions since the start of February.
The largest contract among managers currently belongs to Craig Counsell, who signed a five-year, $40 million deal when he left the Milwaukee Brewers for the Chicago Cubs in November 2023. Rodgers\' deal is expected to surpass Counsell\'s in years, total value or both.
Roberts is heading into his 10th season with the Dodgers, which would have been the final season of his existing contract. The Dodgers have won the World Series in 2020 and 2024 during Rodgers\' tenure.
