Eagles Won\'t Remove Kevin Patullo As Offensive Play Caller

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Nov 25, 2025 12:38 pm

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Monday he will not strip offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo of play-calling duties despite the team\'s offensive struggles in its first season under the first-time coordinator.

The Eagles rank 24th in yards per game and 17th in points per game through 11 games. Their offense has been the worst of Sirianni\'s five-year tenure as head coach in yards per game, points per game and EPA per drive.

Patullo has faced mounting criticism following Sunday\'s 24-21 loss to Dallas. The Eagles failed to advance past the Cowboys\' 38-yard line on their final seven drives after scoring touchdowns on their first three possessions.

\"No, I haven\'t,\" Sirianni said when asked if he considered a change. \"As coaches, we\'re always looking for answers. We\'re never into assigning blame. It\'s every piece of the puzzle — coaching, playing, execution, scheme.\"

Sirianni praised Patullo\'s game management against Dallas despite the second-half collapse.

\"Yesterday, I felt Kevin did a good job of calling it. Obviously, he\'s going to want plays back,\" Sirianni said.

Philadelphia ranks 21st in rushing, 23rd in passing, and 27th in third-down conversions. The team leads the NFL in red-zone efficiency but sits last in three-and-punt rate.

Patullo was promoted from within after Kellen Moore departed to become New Orleans Saints head coach. He has worked alongside Sirianni since 2021 and with quarterback Jalen Hurts throughout that span.

The Eagles returned 10 of 11 offensive starters from last season\'s Super Bowl roster. Sirianni has previously made midseason changes, stripping defensive coordinator Sean Desai of play-calling duties in December 2023.
