Ed Reed and the Houston Texans have agreed on a new deal.
Reed was a first round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2002 out of Miami.
The free safety has been to nine Pro Bowls and was the 2004 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

For the Texans this is the biggest "name" player to sign with the team as a free agent. Even at his age Reed has to be seen as an upgrade at that position. He's joining a secondary with Jonathan Joseph and Danieel Manning and as a fan of this team I am excited to see that.
Add in a returning Brian Cushing and J.J. Watt emerging as one of, if not the best defensive players in the NFL and I think that you'll see Wade's defense amongst the tops next season.
