The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers are moving towards a contract extension that will make him the highest-paid player in NFL history.

However, the two sides are still about $2 million apart on their offers, according to sources.

Green Bay's current contract offer is believed to average slightly more than $21 million per year, meaning Rodgers is a good bet to eclipse the $20.6 million per year the Baltimore Ravens recently agreed to pay Joe Flacco.
