With Alabama's stunning last second loss to Auburn on Saturday, Florida State has ascended to No. 1 in the AP college football poll for the first time since October 1, 2000.
Florida State is undefeated and received 58 first place votes with Auburn receiving the other two.
Ohio State is ranked No. 2 after they escaped an upset bid from Michigan.
Auburn is ranked No. 3, followed by Alabama at No. 4 and Missouri and No. 5.
Oklahoma State, Stanford, South Carolina, Baylor and Michigan State round out the top-10.
The SEC has seven teams in the top-25 and three in the top-5, but will likely be shut out of the BCS Championship Game.
