Tyrann Mathieu suffered a likely torn ACL in his left knee in the Arizona Cardinals' 30-10 win over the St. Louis Rams.
An MRI is scheduled for Monday.
Mathieu has had an outstanding rookie season and is a key part of the Cardinals' defense as they attempt to reach the playoffs.
