Cam Newton has been released from a hospital following his car accident, but Derek Anderson will start at quarterback this week for the Carolina Panthers.
Newton suffered two fractures in his lower back as a result of a two-car accident near the Panthers' team facility.
Anderson made a spot start earlier this season in Week 1.
