Matt Forte Skips Voluntary Camp In Hopes Of New Contract

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Apr 28, 2015 6:00 pm

Matt Forte is seeking a new contract from the Chicago Bears and is skipping voluntary minicamp in hopes of landing one.

Forte is entering the final season of a $30.4 million contract he signed in 2012.

Owner George McCaskey said he's leaving Forte's situation in the hands of general manager Ryan Pace and coach John Fox.

Forte has been a workhorse and one of the most overlooked running backs in the NFL. He has compiled 7,704 rushing yards, 3,727 receiving yards and a combined 57 touchdowns.
