Dez Bryant: $13M Is Cool But Where's My Security

Dez Bryant took his stance on the current contract dispute between he and the Dallas Cowboys public on Wednesday.

"Everybody voicing opinions..13 mil is cool but where is my security? I'll wait ...5 years without complaining. So how am I selfish? #family1," wrote Bryant on Twitter.

Bryant was placed with the franchise tag, a one-year tender which would pay him $12.823 million. He has yet to sign the deal and is sitting out the team's mandatory minicamp.

"Right now there's just too big of a divide," Cowboys executive Vice President Stephen Jones told SiriusXM NFL Radio of the contract talks on Tuesday.

Even after taxes and agent fees, you can definitely have financial security after that one year.

I wish Dez realized how fortunate he is.

I think he is fine with the $13 million, I just think he wants a long term deal and I can't blame him for that. He blows out a knee or something and he has no leverage next season.

I hate when athletes bitch about their 8 figure salaries. We get that you're "worth" more given what other players get but suck it up and be a man

yeah be a man and don't demand yours...

not sure where you live but if that's indicative of how men are going to be in the future then I'm seriously worried, a man gets what he wants & feels like he deserves, that's what a man has always been since the man first existed.

He'd be greedy if he was demanding so much that would cause NFL's overall profits to diminish, but in fact he's not, at all, if anything he's calling out his team/NFL itself for it's greed, which by the way it's going will get killed by the NBA
