Aaron Rodgers: God Was A Packer Fan Against Seahawks

Aaron Rodgers sarcastically credited God for the Green Bay Packers' win in Week 2 over the Seattle Seahawks.

When the Seahawks beat the Packers in the NFC Championship, Russell Wilson gave credit to God for the win after he threw four interceptions.

“That’s God setting it up,” Wilson said, “to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special.”

Rodgers went 25-for-33 for 249 yards and two touchdowns.

“And then getting help from God,” Rodgers said. “I think God was a Packer fan tonight, so he was taking care of us.”

Rodgers was upset because he thought Wilson offended his religion by bringing up god in the NFC CG postgame. If he was really offended as a Christian as was claimed this seems like a very odd response.

He was upset because when Russell and other athletes credit God for their victories it's stupid and arrogant, so this was the appropriate response by Aaron to highlight that. As if God prefers a group of 100 random people beat another group of 100 random people, is causing destruction of each other's bodies and brains artificially in the process, or really cares about sports. People who believe this deserve a reality check.
