Martavis Bryant has been suspended for a minimum of one year for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, the league announced Monday.

Bryant decided not to appeal the suspension.

Bryant's suspension, which is without pay, begins immediately, the NFL said.

He was scheduled to earn $600,000 in 2016.

The suspension is related to NFL drug testing.

I understand that these guys need to be smarter. They need to know that smoking weed could potentially land them missing an entire year. What is this, his 6th failed test? Nevertheless, this is garbage. The fact that the NFL can suspend guys for 16+ games for smoking weed and then pieces of human trash like Greg Hardy continue playing in this league is disgusting. It is so ass-backwards that's it's not even funny anymore. Something has to change. This is just wrong.

From everything that I've read/heard, Martavis Bryant is a good guy. He doesn't beat his girlfriend. He does community work. He likes to smoke weed. Big **** deal.
